  • 2026 Republican Election Workers/ Hingham Poll workers

    The Hingham Republican Committee is reaching out to solicit names of registered Republicans who are interested in working at the Town of Hingham Election Polls for the following three 2026 Elections: ·       Town Election on Saturday, May 2 nd from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM·     ·       State Primary on Tuesday, September 1 st   from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM·    ·       State Election on Tuesday, November 3 rd from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Hingham’s Town Clerk, Carol Falvey, will work with you to schedule your shift, but you are likely to be assigned a half day shift.  As a reminder, you must be registered Republican.   • Interested in running for Local Office? Our Town Election is May 2, 2026

    Local nomination papers for all of Hingham’s elected municipal positions will be available starting on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 8:00 AM in the Town Clerk’s Office.  The following elected positions will be on the May 2, 2026, Annual Town Election ballot: Town Moderator - 1 Year Term     Select Board - 3 Year Term Board of Assessors - 3 Year Term Board of Health - 3 Year Term Municipal Light Board - 3 Year Term School Committee (2 seats) - 3 Year Term Planning Board - 5 Year Term Sewer Commission - 3 Year Term Recreation Commission - 5 Year Term To become a candidate for local office, one must be 18 years of age and be a registered voter in the Town of Hingham.  Each candidate shall file with the Town Clerk, prior to obtaining blank nomination papers, a statement containing the individual’s name, address and the Town Office for which the individual intends to be a candidate. While candidates must obtain the signatures of at least fifty (50) registered voters in the Town of Hingham, we recommended candidates obtain 75 signatures.   • HRTC Makes a Difference. Collect Signatures Locally

    Many of you participated in the 2022 signature drive for the No Driver’s Licenses for Illegals , and Babies Born Alive ballot petitions. This fall, MA4FairElections is coordinating a new signature drive for three important petitions, beginning this week: Requiring voter ID at the polls Repealing the “no excuse” mail-in voting law Requiring Secretary Galvin to make the statewide voter rolls available to the public for auditing. The petitions are approved and we are moving forward.
